Until 2011

Hi friends. I am taking a bit of a hiatus for a few weeks to play in the snow with my family here in Montana. Normally, I respond to each of you because I consider you gifts and because I learn from you and because when we share back and forth, something always happens in the way of abundance. I wish you all a joyous New Years and I’ll see you back here at THESE HERE HILLS soon. I will be reading your lovely comments and taking each one to heart.

In the meantime, I’m still offering ad space to my blog readers for a special rate, so if you have a business you would like to promote here, I promise to champion you and to feature you here, as well as in my cyber presence. I know what it is to feel like you have something you care about so much and not necessarily the platform to give it wings. I’m happy to use whatever platform I have to help. Let me know here and we can email about it.

Stay tuned for my January HAVEN newsletter which will feature the writer Susan Pohlman, author of the memoir HALFWAY TO EACH OTHER. We will be writing about the subject of endings bringing beginnings. Sign up on the home page of THESE HERE HILLS, or on my website: http://www.lauramunsonauthor.com in the left column of every page but HOME to get HAVEN, and come here to comment and share with Susan and me.

    Dear Laura,

Enjoy your family time. The moments and memories that we experience and create leave lasting footprints in our minds, but actually pass by a quickly as a gust of wind. I have always felt that this week between Christmas and the New Year is one to relax, regroup and reflect. I am attempting to do all three!!

I had already started to reflect on this past year. For me it was one of much personal growth. There were so many wonderful things that occurred, and so many difficult situations to face and work through. Right smack in the middle of all of this your book found me. I was so very fortunate to read it while on vacation at Cape Cod MA. Nothing like reading and experiencing such an impactful book in a peaceful and beautiful place. There were many times that I would look up from the page, savor your thoughts, gaze at the endless horizon and let your words sink into my soul.

During this time of relaxing, regrouping and reflection I planned on re-reading your book. I looked to the stack of significant books sitting on my night stand. However, yours was absent from that stack. I had lent it out, and it has yet to find its way back to me. Last week I checked my local Barnes and Noble and was going to purchase another copy, but they too were sold out!!! So, as disappointed as I am, at this time it is not meant to be.

Thank you for sharing so very much of yourself. I know that at times that may not be so very easy, but you understand that your gift and this forum touch and assist so many. I am in awe of some of the pictures that you have posted. They are just so very beautiful and serene.

Have fun during your hiatus. May health, love and happiness set the tone for your new year.

    Namaste and,

    All the best,
    Kathy

P.S. – I had forwarded your prior post regarding your advertising offer to a remarkable woman that I have worked this this past year. Dorinda has been so very instrumental in my evolution during 2010. She possess a unique talent and gift. She had responded to me that your offer (and I hate to use this word,) resonated with her. In case she had not contacted you, I am going to forward this post too !! So if you hear from her and don’t recognize the name, it was through me.

Just a thought shared from another great book written by an equally wise and strong woman…….”You may not be able to change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust the sails”….(From a fortune cookie)…….Elizabeth Edwards, “Resilience”

  4. You guys have a beautiful family! Another GREAT pic! Enjoy your hiatus. I look forward to learning and growing more with you in 2011! Thanks for inviting me into your life via your incredible book and intimate blog.
    Namaste,
    Steph

Enjoy your time off. I was in Whitefish over Christmas and the view of the peaks of Glacier Park from Big Mountain took my breath away!! Watched a roping at Majestic and generally enjoyed the region….. I refer to this area as “Christmasland”…it’s a magic spot in Montana.

  7. Gorgeous, gorgeous happy family… Enjoy.

    Dear Laura,
This is a Test. I don’t know why I can’t seem to figure out how to post on your blog, as I have posted many times & it never appears. I have followed your blog since your lovely book came out. It is a WONDERFUL place to come to.
I purchased your book too & loaned it out to my sisters & daughter & purchased another. It is that GOOD.
Everytime you post on Parelli Central, I am delighted. You have a very special talent & I am so greatful that you share it with us.
May your time away with your beautiful family be all that you want it to be.
    Warm Regards,
    Colleen
